I have done some research on these ads and I have found some conventions of these two I have noticed for the basketball ads they always have large pictures meaning that this is the main focus point this is what they want the viewers eyes to see as soon as they open the magazine another convention I have seen is that the writing on these magazines are always big bright and bold fonts/colours this is showing that there is some importance in the product. Codes and conventions of print advertisements Typically when you take a look at print advertisements you usually see big pictures of the products right in your face this is to show you the product more in depth and to make your eyes focus on that specific item the marketing team does this on purpose to lure you in they want you to take an interest in this product so this is just a good selling tool for the company. Unit 15 Film Pitch

Pitch My idea for my film is about a soldier/former mercenary who has just come back from fighting in a war and the things he has seen have taken a toll on his mental well being the genre of the film will be war/drama I believe because it shows some really important messages in it.
